The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in current weather conditions including heat and cold, wet and dry, humid and arid.
Employees may frequently move between assign tasks that include: computer use, sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, grasping, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying.
Employees are expected to communicate frequently with guests and with one another in a clear, respectful, and professional manner. Team members must be attentive to patrons’ needs, able to assess situations appropriately, and communicate in a way that reflects positively on Burning Lake Trading Co. To maintain a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all guests, employees should refrain from engaging in political, controversial, or divisive conversations while on duty. All interactions should remain courteous, neutral, and focused on providing an excellent customer experience.
Employees are occasionally required to use personal protective equipment when applicable.
All employees are expected to be good stewards of the environment, both inside and outside of the storefront. Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming space is a shared responsibility.
Employees should proactively clean and organize as needed throughout their shift. If you see something that needs attention inside the store, outdoor areas, restrooms, or common spaces. You are expected to address it promptly rather than waiting to be asked. Taking initiative helps ensure an enjoyable experience for guests and reflects pride in our workplace and community.
Staff will be required to work a range of days, nights and weekends (Sunday – Saturday).
